It is possible the h/w implementation is different, and it certainly helps if you don't try to skip commercials. HOwever the file browser does not use http like the PVR list does so you wouldn't see the issue I am talking about.

Updates to XBMC's PVR database are time-based, so expect some lag before it shows up after it starts recording.

Do you know how long it takes to show up? The program was recording for at least 20-30 minutes?

Eventually, but you can do it manually. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...recordings

Ok, let us know if you can play to the end. Also I take back "eventually" In Gotham there are changes to fetch the resume points that you won't have in that old version of Frodo.

"One of the weaknesses with this is xbmc doesn't support growing files via http. Therefore if you start watching 10 minutes in it will stop at 10 minutes, if you restart it will stop at 20 etc or even less if you skipped commercials and so-on and so-on."

For this reason I recommend X-NEWA over the NPVR plugin if you often watch shows while they are recording. If you start watching shortly after recording starts you can watch all the way through without restarting. You will run into problem if you skip too close to the end, you need to stay 10-20 seconds back from what i can tell. Inferior to watching through NPVR, but better than through the NPVR plugin. My two cents.

I can confirm that clicking on 'recordings' does indeed update the recordings list so that you can play currently recording programs. I started watching a two hour program at about the 75 minute mark and surprisingly was able to FF through the commercials. The recording finished while I was watching and I never had to restart. I thought that was odd from what you guys are saying.

@airberger, I would like to try XNEWA on my main XBMC box but I haven't been able to find a version that runs on android.

X-NEWA 2.15 for Android should work but you might need to install script. script.module.simplejson-3.3.0 from the XBMC Repository.

If I watch past the initial length of the recording it keeps playing and the timeline updates but if I try to jump around at all (left/right arrows) it jumps all the way back to the initial length of the recording. Do you know if there is any way around this issue?

Are you playing from a share or http?
