Hi.
Is there a way how to force nPVR to stop video playback when HTPC going to stand by?
My wife often just pause the video playback instead of stoping it, then push stand by button. And when my HTPC resume, there is only black screen.

I need to restart nPVR to make it working again.

I just checked the code - it already does stop any active playback when going to standby.

how about scheduling (in windows scheduler) a bat file to run on wakeup that kills and restarts npvr?

And what about the hibernation? My HTPC is set to use hibernation, becouse i have some isues to wake up from S3 sleep (something in the power supply).
nPVR do not prevent go to hibernation while recording if i press power button mapped to turn my HTPC to hibernate - no warning message. HTPC directly hibernate. So maybe the playback activity stop is only working with S3 sleep?

Yep, already does it with hibernation too. It is the very first thing it does when Windows tells it the lights are going out - I'm not sure if Windows will always wait for it to complete or not though.

Your logs would probably tell us.

OK, here are the LOGs.

And it seems nPVR really stoping the graph.

But i got only black screen in this case after wake up - play video, pause it, put HTPC to sleep and wakeup = black screen, i need to restart nPVR.
If i stop video manually instead of pause it, go to sleep and wake up, no problem. Strange.

Yeah, it's definitely stopping playback.

There is no sign of any activity after resuming, like the app has lost focus.

Yes, right click menu is accesible, but if i click on Main menu, nothing happened. I need to restart nPVR.
Did you tryed to reproduce the issue?

I just double checked. The app seems to come back fine here after resuming from hibernate.

Maybe you need to rig up some sort of automated restart of the app on resume.
