Freesat UK EPG

I changed my BBC Freesat channel EPG options from XMLTV using Digiguide to the new Freesat option as per the release notes "added a new 'Freesat (UK)' EPG option, which tells that app to use the existing DVB EPG functionality, but only from the Freesat EPG transponder (cutting down the time to fetch the EPG)" but failed to download the EPG information after running an update.

Can somebody please explain how to make this option work.

I should have mentioned, this feature hasn't been tested by anyone yet

If you can do an epg update, then post the log, I'll take a look.

Hi, I was going to post the same question. I upgraded to 3.2.9, I changed a few channels to freesat epg and did an update. I got no listings for those channels so went back to XMLTV.

I uploaded a log for 1 channel change to freesat after I reset the logs so it should only show the time I did the epg update.

Do you actually have Freesat? In the logs I can only see DVB-T stuff happening. Freesat is DVB-S.

Can you try it again with this patch, then post the npvr.log? I added some logging to help me understand what's happening.

Hi, yep no problem. This time I have applied the patch, reset logs, empty the epg, changed some channels to freesat epg (some mixture of DVB-S and DVB-S + DVB-T as I have multiple sources but all the channels are on the freesat epg), update epg and then posted logs here.

Hope this helps, do I need to change back to the other nshared.dll after I am done?

No, you can keep using this version. It just adds a couple of logging messages.
