+1 . I have been using MC for a while now and it generally works very well indeed. New versions seem to come out often enough which if nothing else, shows that the developers are active.

OK, I've downloaded MC and it's currently scraping. Can I use it's output in NPVR so I can see the info as I can now see TV info or does this run as a standalone program. If I can use it in NPVR, how? What output and where?
MC downloads metadata and images which it saves in files in the same folder as the movie/TV show. These files are picked up by NPVR when viewing in the videos plugin (not sure about the recordings plugin).
One key point of MC is that it needs to know if it should be searching for movies or TV shows as this affects how it searches for metadata. So I move all my movies off to a separate "movies" drive and set MC to consider this drive as a movies only (and not TV shows). I am not sure how it will behave if you simply point it to your recordings folder which will contain both movies and TV shows.

MC is easily the best of these programs I've tried (and I've tried more than I care to count!). However, now I'm running into a NPVR problem. I moved the movies folder back into the Videos plugin, but now I'm getting artwork from previous attempts and which is no longer in the individual movie folder. I assume this is some type of DB problem, but how do I get rid of the old stuff so I can try working on the new? By the way, the old stuff doesn't appear when the Movies folder is in the Pictures plugin but then I'm not seeing anything but a small poster than doesn't provide much info. FYI, I never record movies, they are either downloaded or saved from the DVD.
You might need to delete the files from C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Thumbs. This is local cache which is used to speed thinks up for subsequent accesses to metadata and artwork. With the cache files deleted, it'll recreate from the current files.
Thanks, Sub. That seemed to clear out the old art. Now, I'm hoping someone who uses MC can help me with a problem. When I select a movie in the left pane of MC, nothing shows up in the pane on the right, even though I know that info has been scraped. What am I doing wrong? I have real hopes this is going to be the solution I've been looking for since I've gotten a couple of films to provide the information I want by just selecting the title (a small poster and a readable plot...looks just like what I get with the TV shows from NPVR).
If nothing appears in the right, it suggest that either you haven't scraped that movie or it has not found anything.
Are you viewing in the movie tab rather than the TV show tab?
try right clicking on the movie and select scrape all.

I've tried that and numerous other things but I only have four or five pictures that show anything and I know everything was scraped and I could see it all earlier. It's certainly frustrating!
