In theory all PC add on devices such as a video card, PCI card or USB device and all PC software should work together but in practice many combinations donât work correctly. My son had a laptop with a known incompatibility âfeatureâ which meant it would not run the iTunes software. On several occasions at work and at home I saw cases where an add card on such as a video card seemed faulty so I replaced it and all started working. However that âfaultyâ card worked as normal in other computers.
Video cards tend to be the most troublesome devices. I have 2 old but still powerful Nvidia cards supplied with Dell computers but neither will work correctly in any other computer. In your case as you have tried drivers the easiest solution is to temporarily replace the video card as a test. A box of computer spares comes in very useful for fault finding!
