I use the web radio plugin constantly since it allows me to enjoy a selection of classical stations. When one of the stations indicates the current item on their playlist I get that information in two spots: centered across the bottom in legible type; and, in a little white box on the bottom right of the screen in type too small to read but which often overlaps the bottom centered info. How can I get rid of the little white box? I can make it go away by hitting the fast forward button on the remote but it would be nicer if it just never appeared at all. I do want to keep the bottom centered one, however.

Thanks. Didn't even know I could do that. I'll give it a try. Another question for you, is there an easy way to enter radio stations you want to listen to when they don't show up on any of the source lists. KWAX and WBAA both have high bitrate output but aren't on the lists I looked at. I can find their internet address easily enough but I don't know how to get that into the webradio plugin (I've tried but with no success).

Found the stations I wanted. They were listed under State/City instead of Genre/Classical where I found the others. I also got rid of the balloon, so all is well.

I would also like to make a menufile for WebRadio with my own stations, but I can't find the syntax. Can you provide an example of a user defined radio station file?

If you have installed the WebRadio Addons or if you are using WR 4.0 beta (I think) there is a [ MyRadioStations-org.xml ] or [ MyOnlineFavorites-org.csv ] that give several examples of how to produce the menu file - then you just have to make an entry in the UserMenu.xml. Again the -org gives the entries you will want.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

In a nutshell if you want a hierarchical menu you can point an xml file to another xml file or a radio station list, or a radio station url

The radio stations lists can be m3u, pls, xml or csv there are samples of all of them I think.

The easiest way to make a personal list is to use the Hidden menu to save a Favourite while it is playing and access this from the "My Radio Stations" menu option. You can also use that as a template to add more outside WebRadio if you'd like.

One of the reasons info like this gets lost is in posting new OT questions. New threads with meaningful subject help other people too.

Either I'm stupid or something else is wrong Wink. I downloaded v4 of webradio and installed it just to be sure Im up to date, but neither Edit nor Favorites on the hidden menu does anything at all, and I can't find a file with local definitions of radio stations. Any hints?

Compress and upload your webradio.xml file and I will have a look.
