NRecord 3.2.9 Crsshing

I have had NRecord crashes several times after installing 3.2.9. I have also installed BitDefender AV+. The last time this occurred I was not able to see any information in the NPVR logs. Below are the entries from the Windows log:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post your nrecord.log?

Below is the NRecord Log. Note that two recordings were started at 1700 and ended at 1730 correctly. At 1730 two more recordings were scheduled. The recording for America's Test Kitchen seemed to start correctly. There was maybe 30 seconds. The recording for PBS Newshour has a directory created but no recording.

It looks like one of your directshow filters has failed to registry.

Start a command prompt with 'run as administrator' and run:

regsvr32 "c:\program files (x86)\NPVR\NPVRNetPushSource.ax"

When I did this I received the error message c:\program files (x86)\NPVR\NPVRNetPushSource.ax was loaded but the call to Dll Register Server failed with error code 0x80070005.

Sorry if I am repeating myself, but this problem does not happen EVERY time NRecord is used, so at least to me it seems unlikely that this is a problem in the registry. What are the values that should be in registry ? I can then verify that these values are correct both now and if/when another crash occurs.

Odd. I'm not sure what to suggest on that one.

Maybe you have some firewall/antivirus or other internet protection software that gets in the way? We've seen this before.

That means insufficient privileges. You didn't run the command prompt "As Administrator".

whurlston you are correct. Running command prompt from an administrator account is not the same as running command prompt "As administrator."
