Update on disappearing cursor. Nothing looking untoward in the logs (attached)
Actions.
start app 11:56
recordings, ready 11:57
pick first in list and down to delete 11:58 (works fine)
pick 2nd in list (the troublesome one) and down a few times, lost cursor 11:59
'return' to exit to main menu 12:00

After much tweaking, I disabled the three metadata tick boxes in misc 2 (recordings one was unticked anyway) and delete the jpg files for the recording in question and it seems to work now. I wouldn't have expected to see them there with the metadata for recordings unticked and only ticked for video.???

I'll leave them unticked for now an continue enjoying the app.

The disappearing cursor problem sounds like the same one I experience in X-NEWA, see thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ta-problem.

For me it happens with recordings which have an entry in thtvdb which do not contain a poster art field. Unticking "Enable downloading of metadata and artwork" hides the problem.

I'd say this issue is an all-server-problem and subs department. I can't see how to prevent this from happening by changing the client side code.

Reading your post, it does indeed seem similar, if not identical. I was even considering trying x-newa to see if I got the same problem, but it sounded a bit too involve for a "quick test".

Indeed - I hope I didn't come across as pointing the finger, it's just that it only appeared when viewing on the Sammy app.
Anyway, meta-thingy turned off, images deleted and all seems well Wink

No problem, I don't feel pointed at.
I've probably pointed out sub as a scapegoat now but he should be used to it Wink.
Since English is not my native language, I tend to unintentionally offend people from time to time.

at last I have this working on my very picky BD-FM59C, thanks to fred250 being rather clever. those who are running Fred's samsung app loader may have noted a "test johnsonx42" app; that's full of win for me, but won't do anything for you. Big Grin

now I'm inclined to ask, do we yet have any way to have different menu items for a client vs. what's shown on the NextPVR server?
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct
main client: NextPVR 5.0.7 Desktop Client; LG 50UH5500 WebOS 3.0 TV

No, not at this stage. It's effectively just running a normal instance of NextPVR.exe, like you'd run on your desktop, so it gets the same menu options etc.

For me the beauty of the MVP/NMT and now the web clients is that you have the same menus plugins etc on all your devices with no fuss.

Likewise, that was the big attraction for me.
