-1 for johnsonx42's option if you did anything do it like you have custom MVP and NMT settings for the MAC.

I'd forgotten there was already some specific-client customization in config.xml; had I remembered I would have just suggested expanding what can be done within that existing structure instead of proposing a complete alternate config file.

I wouldn't want to go down that path. It'd complicate support etc.

I hope you'll consider some means to provide client-specific settings in a future release, perhaps something more like what already exists in the <MVP-SpecificSettings> and <MAC-xxxxxxxxxxxx> sections. I'm quite sure I won't be the last user who wants different menu options and other specific settings on a web client.

I'm open to considering client specific settings for certain things. It'll be on a case by case basis though, with the vast majority of settings remaining common to all clients.
