I cannot get any NPVR section but Videos to recognize both xml and jpg files in addition to a video file. Pictures will recognize jpg but not xml. I need two sections that will recognize both, one for movies and one for TV. Is there a relatively easy to accomplish this or am I out of luck?

If I put a TV or movie episode in Pictures, the episode will play and a poster.jpg will show but a episode.xml file is not seen and does not show in NPVR. If I put either in Videos, all is seen.

What I really want is two menu selections that will play TV and movie episodes along with the poster.jpg and episode.xml files. Right now there is only one, Videos. Preferably, I'd like Pictures to be called Movies, but that's a minor point. Right now, when I select Videos, I see a list of my videos on the left and the corresponding xml and jpg files on the right. If I do the same thing in Pictures, I only see the jpg on the right...no xml file.

Sorry, that is not the way it's designed to work.

Only the Videos screen is supposed to give you videos and metadata etc.

The Pictures screen is for photos (although it does allow videos, to let you watch video you might have recorded on your camera). It is not designed to be treated as another Videos screen, and doesn't have all the video specific features of the Videos screen.

OK, thanks. I guess I'll have to try another approach to solve this problem. I'm surprised more people don't have a problem with putting their movies and TV episodes in the same menu selection.

Just grasping here...can you have two video screens on the menu?... video1, video2 or something like that. I need to figure a way to have Tv and Movies in different Windows folders and still be able to utilize both of them in NPVR.

Sorry, no you cant. You can have a 'TV' and a 'Movie' folder inside Videos though.

The Movies plugin is probably what you are looking for. Use MediaCompagnion to scrub metadata from IMDB.

I was about half asleep when it occurred to me I should be able to do what Sub said above. So I tried it and, viola, problem solved. I've been using Media Center Master to do the xml work and it needed separate directories. I just hadn't thought about using Video for both directories before. I looked at the plugin in list and I don't see a Movies plugin. Can you be more specific, please?
