I think it's the extra files generated by comskip (the bat, wme, etc), but when you delete a show--and it's the only/last one--you're stuck w/ the directory now. I know it's not a space issue, but it's looking like a teenager's room in the recording directory now.

Any chance of someone w/ the talent/means to make a postepg plugin/util that would find folders w/o mpg files and remove them?

Cool...wondering why it hasn't come up till now. I was thinking I had comskip setup wrong, and that stuff was normally cleaned up. It was only in the recent versions it started leaving the wme & bat files behind.

If you're still going, it would be cool to be able to say what to clean up, then del the dir if empty after that. I realize now there are some old log files around, some dat files, the ocational csv, etc.

If the users could enter the candidates, it would be customizable for future plugins that leave debris.

I have so briefly tested this **please** test this on a directory you do not care about first.

The code should delete any directory that does not have a mpg.

You must create a file called cleanup.txt in the directory you are trying to cleanout.

Like
c:\videos\cleanup.txt

that is to prevent a user from typing c:

you must pass in a directory name like

c:\videos

It will recurse through videos and delete any directory which has no child directories and has no mpegs.

Seems to do the trick. Nice job and fast work.

Thx. Much appreciated.

This seems to be deleting directories that have .avi files in them but no .mpg files. Is there a fix? If not, I'll volunteer to fix it if I can get my hands on the source

I have added a few lines to my parrallelprocessing.bat to simply delete the files once they have been used. I've added the following lines before calling renamerecordings:

del "%~dpn1.cpf"
del "%~dpn1.bat"
del "%~dpn1.edl"

I don't generate a .wme file, but the following line would solve it for you:

del "%~dpn1.wme"
