Client Recording

All,

I am new to NextPVR and have installed it on a win 7 machine with HDhomerun tuner. I installed a second win 7 machine and configured it as a client PC.

I can do everything from the client, except schedule a recording. It goes though the motions, but does not set the recording. However I can cancel a recording from the client. I have tried to disable the firewall on both machines without success.


Any suggestions would be helpful.

probably permissions on your database share. you can cancel a recording because that's an API request to the server's NRecord process, but scheduling a recording is done by the client NextPVR.exe and thus needs write access to the database. If you look in the client's NPVR.log you'll likely find database errors.

Yep - I'm pretty sure johnsx42 is correct.

You where correct! The share was set to read only. Once given write access all is good!
