Where can I find that file, I have been searching but can't seem to find it (on the android box I assume)?

From your logs it is in

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/addons/script.xbmc.x-newa/resources/src/nextpvr/emulate.py

Because of the .xbmc folder you might need to turn on viewing hidden files in the file system navigator.

Got it, had to change it 2x in that file. And now it works! Great. Thanks a lot!

Great. For the next release I think I made a change that will handle this better.

How do you like the Tronsmart Vega? I have read good things about the new fast Amlogic CPU like S802 I will be picking up an Android Box with one of the new CPUs later this year but I think I want one with h.265 decoding now that Kodi will support it. Probably the S805 because I think it will be a couple of years before I get a 4k TV

(The s89-h also supports h.265).
At the moment I am strugling with getting XBMC /Kodi to work. The box came with 107k4 rom preinstalled and xbmc 14.0 alpha 1, I tried xbmc 13.2 and kodi 14.0 alpha 2 but all have the same issues (audio ahead of video and horizontal tearing of the video on fast movement) so it's (hopefully) a rom issue.
I also couldn't use an existing google account, had to make a new one to get playstore going.

I thought these things were solved in 107k4, but now I'm going to try 108k4 hope that helps. Too soon to tell about anything else.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Kodi is early it crashes for me on Windows, so I am in no real rush to upgrade. I've got too many useless boxes that sounded promising already!

Martin,

May I trouble you with my problem of the horizontal tearing and sound sync issue? This seems to be the case in the s89-h with xbmc's internal player, not with mxplayer and only with ts-files (recorded with NextPVR). This problem does not happen with a samsung (android) tablet.

So I'm thinking is it a rom or a decoder issue? But if it's a decoder issue, why does the android tablet not have this problem?
What do you think?

Not much to add from when we talked on this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...BMC-client
All Android clients are going to be hit & miss, you need to count on other users feedback as directly comparing them means nothing. XBMC Android implements two generic h/w accelerated models, and has direct support for older Amlogic API. More ARM CPU direct support is coming but XBMC is user-supported so you get what someone is interested in developing, in no priority order.

So if I understand correctly you don't think it's an android or rom problem but a xbmc problem regarding this amlogic processor and ts-files. And maybe that will be supported one day.

I bought this device because the power supply of my MVP is defect and a new one would cost me 20 euros. This s89-h costed me 100 euro and would take me a step further (since x-newa is possible on xbmc). But this ts-problem could now be a deal-breaker for me. I have the option of returning the box, so I am considering my options.

Is it possible to make a workaround for the time being, until xbmc supports ts on the s89-h?
I studied this before for the mvp but stopped because I couldn't get it to work.
How could I get finished recordings to be encoded to another format (other than ts, that xbmc could play) and get it to be recognized in the nextpvr database as the same recording?
And for watching tv delayed, I could use mxplayer in xbmc (I think there's an option to have files with a certain extension played by another player).

Or do you know another workaround?

Martin,

I'm now on helix and when I'm in x-newa playing a recording, pressing the android return/back button does not stop the video from playing (I thought it did on xbmc 13.2). After pressing that key, helix doesn't respond properly anymore to other keypresses.

Maybe you can look at the logs?
