Thanks for the feedback.

I can't take credit for smoother video though.
I'd say that it is imagined. Smile

Thanks Fred. Pressing play from the recordings menu working fine in this version.

Resume seems to do nothing. Not sure if its connected, but I notice that if I turn seek hinting off and try resume a couple of times the menu navigation becomes agonisingly slow i.e. press 'down' and the cursor moves down about three seconds later.
Never mind, completely useable as it is. ta

Not sure if this helps but I power cycle my TV with every update, I found if I don't 1. old version still shows up and 2. it can be really slow to respond.

After powering off my TV and powering it back on with every update Fred has posted has worked for me.

A big thanks to you Fred on these fixes.

Yeah, it doesn't work on my BD-F6500 either, but well on the H model TV. Not much I can do about it, sorry.

Thanks for the feedback, you made me find a very resource consuming bug related to keypress and screen update.

Everyone is strongly recommended an update to 0.24.1.

I don't think I'll be able to fix this. For now a power cycle is recommended.

Just tested on E5900 bluray
everything works great
Resume does not work (But im guessing you would expect that to be the case)

I may be able to tweak resume to work on E-models since they seem to handle seeking quite well.
In my implementation resume is just a seek to the resume position right after I get the signal that file is playing. I may add an extra delay or something to make it work.

However on F-models resume, and skipping in general, will always be unreliable until Samsung decides to fix the player.

Busy ATM, hope to find some time later this weekend.

fred, I've noticed on my F player that when I first boot up the player and launch nextpvr, skips up to 5 minutes long work quite reliably. after awhile skipping stops working at all, or skips random amounts; at that point if I stop and play other files skipping still doesn't work well. but if I shutdown and restart the player skipping works again for a bit. I noted no difference whether the skip helper is on or off.

I admit I haven't tested this extensively, but that's been my experience so far. I have no idea if this observation suggests any possible solution or improvement possibilities... is there something in the player you could reset or re-initialize before beginning playback each time?

New version 0.24.2 for test made available through the apploader only.
It's the same as 0.24.1 except it has delayed resume that may enable resume to work on E models.
