I found using the default Recording in npvr works just fine, during testing if you use TV Recording that is part of TV Listing it is hit and miss using resume.

Not sure if the intent was to support this plugin but wanted you aware what I've found during testing.

Hi!

I have a brand new BD-H6500 with latest firmware. Have successfully installed Plex (which works remarkably well, actually), but I can't install either Reven's NextPVR for Samsung App or yours...

I log in as 'develop', then run through the process in SmartHub to install the app:

• Long-hold ENTER on any app to get the options
  
• Select "ENTER IP"
  
• Enter server IP
  
• Select "START APP SYNC"
  

All seems to work without errors, however I never see an app come up. When sniffing network traffic between sammy & server I see the sammy successfully connect to server and download the app - just no icon appears.

I have also tried your apploader, with the same result -- though the test apps (redirect) load fine!

The issue seems to be some sort of security block?!

Is there any sort of workaround or other sideload possible?

From what I've read, it looks like the H-model blurays have the same problem as the BD-FM59C, they won't accept either nextpvr app. The difference is that the FM59C's actually report a "TVAPPSecurity" error, while the H-models just do nothing. You'll need a customized redirect app for your NPVR server's IP address (unless Fred can provide a generic redirect app that will allow the address to be configured), and you'll need Fred's app copied into your NPVR's web server directory (also from a link to be provided by fred)

It's the same as 0.24.1 except it has delayed resume that may enable resume to work on E models.

Enter IP waited for a 30 second for app install to complete then start user app sync then after 10 to 15 seconds the icon appears.

Yep - from your description, looks like the TVs & BDs behave a bit differently.

I don't have a TV.

On my BD: Enter the IP address. Wait a couple of minutes. Start user app sync (not "update apps"). Wait a couple of minutes. Nothing. Power cycle. Nothing. Frownie...

I will send you a PM when your app is built later today or tomorrow.

A generic redirect app has been in my thoughts for quite some time now but I never seem to get the time to write it.
One obstacle is that the javascript libs I use in my app can’t be used in the redirect app because of the security thing, meaning I have to learn the Samsung stuff or write the UI controls from scratch.

In the future I can see everyone using the generic redirect app and the Smart TV client being distributed and updated as part of the NextPVR installation, much like NEWA. Until then, things are a bit awkward.
