Thanks for testing.
Bad luck, I thought it might work.

I have a few other ideas. I’ll post here when there is something new to test.

It's the same as 0.24.1 except it has delayed resume that may enable resume to work on E models.

no problem, just curious.

Do you check device type/name when syncing app on the TV? I ask as I wanted to try this but 0.24.1 remained on the TV. I did notice that it looked like 2 items were downloaded during the sync.

- A power cycle may be needed before new version is shown.

- If two items with the same name are checked only the first will install (samsung restriction)

Yes, this seems like a great solution, as sub seems generally enthusiastic about your app.

New version 0.24.3 available for test.
Again the only change is an attempt to fix resume on E-models.

Is there any chance this app can make use of the timing.info data for skipping, or is this impossible to implement?

Well, it depends on how you define “make use of timing.info”.
With the option “Seek hinting” turned on the app already uses timing.info to tell the streaming server what byte to start from regardless of what bytes the player asks for.

This works very well giving next to second precision on some players like the LG ones.
Samsung E models can't use it, F models they need it (but has other skip issues) and H models seems to skip nicely anyway.

None of the players mentioned above offers an API where you can ask the player to start streaming from a specific byte in the file rather than from a point in time.
In that sense it's impossible.

Thanks for explaining, Fred. I haven't done much testing yet, but on my F8000 model skipping and resume seem to work very well with version 0.24.3 but only on HD recordings, SD recording are way off.

Another thing: it looks like it's impossible for me to play "In Progress"-recordings.
