New version 0.25.1 available for test through the apploader.

* Play button will now skip to the end of next commercial
* 999 will temporarily disable auto skip commercials
* setting to enable/disable auto skip commercials

this is cool I have wanted play to work like this for ages
This will work really well for skipping through the program quickly

Yes it should. I do all my testing on an H model TV now.
Go into settings and toggle the auto comskip option to make sure it's on (and the setting is saved). Also for H models Seek hinting off is recommended.
The green timeline should have gaps where the commercials are. If the gaps are white auto comskip is turned off.

Hi Fred
Any chance you could add a popup or something when server cannot be reached
Power went off today server didnt start back up meaning when the wife went to use the Bluray player that I had been raving about how good it is now failed to start,Got the ph call "You said this was going to work really easy etc. All i get is a screen with writing numbers all over it" Smile
Not high priority but thought id mention it.

Cheers Stu

Thanks for the feedback.
At startup when a connection can’t be established within 30 sec or something the settings page should show. Is that the “All i get is a screen with writing numbers all over it" ?

I put this request on my todo-list, but as you say I’ll not be #1 priority.

So this looks great for me to try, but does my Samsung UE32F5300 have the right kind of smart hub? It's called that but I can find no way to follower the creation of a developer account and without it the web app server is not likely to be noticed I suspect. I have no Login button on my smart hub front page, just lists of apps that I have picked up from the Samsung store.

Am I doing something wrong or are some devices incompatible?

Take a look at this:

Also, you can search on "Samsung developer account" and find some other resources.

Or, take a look at this:

http://www.samsungdforum.com/Guide/art00013/index.html

and this:

http://www.samsungdforum.com/Guide/

I have a F series BD player and the screens look different, but I was able to work through it. Basically, you have to add a new "develop" account, login to it, and then you can access the app loading system. You'll enter the IP of the box where you're running Fred's app loader, and the Samsung will then get the app from there.

It took me several tries to get it right, but eventually it works.

as far as I can tell that is the correct smarthub. try pressing the red "A" button when you're on the smarthub apps page.
