I did remap to the native NPVR to get things going for a week. I guess I also needed to remap the XML, I did not realize they would have different channel identifiers so I thought it would be an easier transition.
I have tried Microsoft update again with mc2xml (not legacy version as I had donated) and it failed again. I tried the host file change but my system kept on saying it was in use and I could not modify it. I tried the ipconfig /flushdns just to see if that alone would help..no good. I was not comfortable with any other work around. So...
For all this frustration I decided to go ahead an pay for Schedules Direct for a year since it is not that expensive. I have had issues with Microsoft at least once a year for the past 3 years and would love to avoid this frustration. I hope SD has a better track record than MS.
One more question, I forgot my password for Schedules Direct so had to change it. Do I need to go into each channel mapping again to update the password or is fixing the first one enough? Or is there somewhere else i change change it.
