That's very odd since I don't have any existing pending season recordings??? The property of that folder was Read Only though and I'm not sure why that would be either given that I've gone through the sharing process. Hardly seems logical that when you share something it either remains, or becomes, Read Only.
In any event having taken the Read Only flag off that folder NPVR still refuses to set any recordings from Client. I'll reboot the server, check the permissions on that folder and try setting something once again. [edit]Have rebooted the Server and the folder property is a shaded tick for Read Only but I have a feeling that some Microsoft OS's do this for all folders??? In any event I've opened the share permissions and it's shown in the attached image. The client still can't set a recording???

Copy the file onto client remove existing file on server and copy back with client. Hopefully thos will fix the read only issue.(may havr to stop recording service before you do it)

Sorry, what file???
[edit]npvr.db3? Tried that and it says Access Denied. See permissions jpg. I can't seem to get the Users permissions to change to "Full" as it is for the other entries. [edit2]Managed to change the permissions for Users by performing this via RDP on the server itself. Stopped NPVR via Task Manager on both Server and Client and that allowed me to copy off npvr.db3 from the Server to the Client. Now copying it back.... [edit 3]Success! Can now set recordings from the client :-) Now where was I when I started all this??? |
