FM Tuner Selection for 150MCE

Does anyone have an older version of lame.ax? Or should I wait until there is a fix?

I have the one that came with reg.bat, but given my problems with the FM plugin, you may not want it from me! If you do, I'll be happy to email it to you.

Here's an interesting update on my FM radio situation. I have since purchases a PVR500MCE double tuner card and it is now installed in my system WITH the PVR150MCE. Again, I'm running WinXP SP2 -- not MCE. Even with adding the PVR500MCE card, I still could not get FM radio, so this was beginning to get quite annoying since it was obviously my system and not a problem with two PVR cards have non-working FM radio.

On a coincidence, when editing the direct.ini file in the GBPVR folder to change the contrast, brightness, etc., I noticed that there were headings for each of the tuner cards (Hauppauge PVR150, PVR500MCE, PVR250, etc.). I noticed that under the PVR150MCE heading, the "SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO" was set to "0". I also noticed that under the PVR500 with FM Tuner heading that the "SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO" was also set to "0". Setting each of these options to "1" resulted in...presto magico...the FM Tuner plugin working in GBPVR.

Anyone who cannot get the FM radio plugin to work after doing all the recommended things with Lame MP3, etc., you may just want to check these settings in direct.ini.

I dont know why your file had those settings. I've just checked, and both [Hauppauge PVR500 with FM tuner] and [Hauppauge PVR150MCE] have SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=1 in the master file I distribute with the app.

Is this something that can be changed in the GBPVR Config app? I previously tried every setting/option I could find in the there when attempting to get FM working the first time around. I'm sure it's something I did.

FYI, I'm not running the latest GBPVR (running the one prior). I didn't want to mess with anything when the new Fall programming needed to be recorded. Having upgrade problems and missing recordings would have been a BIG problem with negative GBPVR opinion when it comes to the dear wife.
