3.3.8 new install not writing ts file

Hi all,

I've just installed 3.3.8 for the first time and it won't record to the timeshift buffer. The permissions on the directory are all fine, I've even gone as far as giving Everyone full control. When I try to play a channel, it hangs on '...please wait...'. A new <channelname>.ts file is created in the timeshift directory but no data is written to it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try? I've attached the logs.

Is F:\ a local drive, or a mapped network drive?

Local with plenty of free space. I only tried writing to that after having the same problem in c:\temp.

OS is Windows 8.1 x64. All filesystems are NTFS and I've set firewall exceptions for everything npvr related.

If you do a scan, does it show channels? Don't hit ok to save the scan results.

Yep, shows everything I'd expect to see.

Have you tried a selection of channels?

If you hit OK at the end of the scan, and try again, does it help? If any of the tuning info has changed for you channels, it should update them to be correct.

I've solved it now. Retuning didn't work so I did an uninstall and then manually removed anything left over. When I did a reinstall, the 'NRecord.exe INSTALL' crashed out. I've ran it up myself in an admin command prompt and it succeeded. Now I can tune in.
