I';m new to nextpvr and trying to get my wintv-pvr-150 card to work. Im running windows 7 and it does work with Windows Media Center.
I followed the configuration procedure for cards that are do not auto config but still it's not showing in the devices tab.
So I ran the FilterCheck but im not sure i configured the xml file correctly. i have zip the filtercheck text file and the AnalogDevice xtml file into one zip file. can some one check it out to see if I have done it correctly?

thanks

To use Analog devices in NextPVR, you either need WinTV 7 installed, or the SoftPVR components (as mentioned in the sticky thread). I'm guessing you haven't done either of those?

I did install the SoftPVR. But I guess I could redo it just to make sure.

If you've already done it, then run NextPVR and visit the Setting->Devices screen, and post the npvr.log. I'll take a look.

so it may have been that I ran the softpvr wrong. I did not move the WinTV exe into the same directory. so I did that again correctly but it doesn't look like it worked. I have posted a zip file with the dos output of that run and the log file you asked for. Hope it helps

Neither SoftPVR or WinTV7 are installed, so analog support is currently disabled on your machine.

so I downloaded the beta version of softpvr and It ran successfully. That's the good new. I then went to the devices screen and it started to scan for devices but came up with this error "Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. The 'Name' start tag on line 6 position 4 does not match the end tag of 'Device'. Line 9.position 4"

I have not clicked on "Continue" yet. I wanted to post this to see what my next step should be.
Thanks for you help.

Here is what is listed on the Details

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

It's saying it doesn't like the edits you tried to do to AnalogDevices.xml (because stuffed up the Name tag). You shouldn't have needed to edit this file at all. Just entirely delete those first three devices entries you tried to add.

I think I backed up the file before I changed it. If I go back to that will I need to run softpvr again?
