Ok the good SageDCT logs you sent were from just after midnight I thought it might be off. If it isn't firewall do you have it connected to SageTV? Two devices can't connect to the same port.

I just thought of something.. In order to set up the InfiniTV device, I had to set it up in Windows Media Center (they worked there). Could it be WMC had control of the tuners?

WMC might own the tuner, but I don't know how that impacts SageDCT. I know your logs from tonight are not good.

I no longer use SageDCT but when I did, I never had a problem with WMC controlling the tuners.

Thanks Paul
Still scratching my head here

I don't have any intention on using SageTV. Once I set up nextPVR I hope to use it as a back-end to Kodi (XBMC). From what I read, I need to install and set up SageTV Media Center.. Only SageDCT, Right?

I decided to uninstall everything, delete all directories, remove all services and start from scratch

Right out of the box, I got an error while installing nextPVR:
NRecord has stopped working.. A problem has casuesd the program to stop working correctly.
The cmd window says:
... The transacted install has completed
Process is terminated due to StackOverflowException

Once I close that window, the install continues and completes

Ok....
I completed the uninstalling and reinstalling of everything.

I couldn't get SageDCT to 'discover' my devices
I decided I should check my InfiniTV device .. It turns out it was offline. My guess is it was offline all along. I restarted my network including the device and IT WORKED!!!!

I was able to set up one tuner and I could select a show from the EPG and watch it.. well.. sort of

The stream will only play for about 2 seconds before it freezes and there is no audio.

I have attached a screenshot of my decoders tab along with my tabs.

Thanks!!! for getting me this far

Ok, good, I suspected a physical problem.

That's not going to work with the channels from the Ceton which typically will be AC3. You will need to enable an AC3 decoder which won't be installed by default. I use LAV for AC3 audio because it supports many A/V formats, but many people here prefer AC3Filter I am not sure if it has any advantages.

Your NRecord log didn't zip up but most things looks ok. Since you are testing with live tv now, the issue is likely the buffering time in the NetworkRecorder.xml file. The default in the sample you sent me was 2000 (2 seconds) but tuning a DCT takes some time, and I suggest 5000 and then work down to something your are comfortable with.

The other recommendation would be to play with the demux methods in SageDCT. If you haven't read the other posts here I strongly recommend that you use the donator version of SageDCT to enable ffmpeg demux. babgavant did that work after a lot of begging from me, since NextPVR users need it for XBMC/Kodi but it creates the best files anyway.
