NTray show list of upcoming recordings

It would be useful if one of the menu items in the NTray taskbar icon would be "Upcoming Recordings" that would open a window showing a list of upcoming recordings. A more detailed tooltip showing recording information would also be nice: maybe show next two current/upcoming recordings.

I think it used to, but many moons ago it was found to be causing high CPU utilization so the feature was removed.

I was about to point out that the Windows Desktop Gadget provides some of the functionality that you have requested, but then I noticed who you are....

I would gladly use the incredible Gadget , but unfortunately I'm using Windows 8.1 and I'm not really comfortable using 3rd-party apps or downloading outdated system files from some unknown source just to be able to run gadgets. Darn Microsoft sometimes really knows how to kill good things for no good reason.

Yes, but for my use I would prefer something small on my desktop that I can see all the time while I'm working on other things. NTray would work quite well for me if it only had a list of upcoming recordings. I could create something like the gadget that is launched from a taskbar icon but it seems like it would be wasted energy since NTray could add this easily (especially if it used to be there).
