EPG Data Dissapearing

Hi

I am new to NPVR and so far I am loving it. Does exactly what I need and intergrates into XBMC just fine. However I have an issue.


I click the update EPG button in the channels page and EPG updates. I can then view the next 7 days worth of tv shows through the web interface. However tomorrow I will look and only say BBC3 is there the rest are missing. If I click update again all comes back. This is causing real issues for me with recordings. I set a program to record every week and an hour before it starts I have to logon to the server and click the update epg button to make sure that it knows the program is on and records it. Before anyone asks yes I have ticked to say auto update.

Any ideas?

Logs help, but the most likely problem is you haven't set up the proper security to run the batch file as the Local System user maybe the choice of location or when you installed the EPG programs you didn't respect UAC and they aren't really where you think they are.

What type of epg are you using? What time of day do you have the update set for?
There were problems with the Freesat epg that appear to have been fixed with this patch http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post482063 which never got put in the current patches sticky - best to use all those as well.
For DVB-T epg I have found that about 05:15 seems to be the best time to set the update for. From 2-4am I always had large amounts of data missing. Broadcasters Database updating or something? I always imagined some data entry clerk feverishly typing in the 8th day's TV shows by hand!

Also make sure Update epg during live TV is unticked in settings - that can mess things up.

Thanks for the replies. I have adjusted some settigs and im going to monitor the log over the next few days and will report anything back I cant fathom
