How to deal with unannounced schedule changes?

Hi there,

I'm using NEWA with XMLTV EPG source to schedule recordings. Most of the time it works fine, but sometimes a channel gets a delay because of breaking news or sports events and the next scheduled program starts broadcasting with a delay of 15 - 30 minutes.

Are there any tricks to adjust this in NEWA? Is there a way to look if the scheduled program is still on time and adjust the recording time automatically if not?

Look at NextEnd. It's a utlity that can either extend the recording time of a sporting event or those shows following it.

It' not likely to work in Holland but it would in Newfoundland (both of which are NL)

When you bring up a scheduled recording or a recording that is in process there is an option to extend the end time. This is manual not automatic but NEWA supports the extension of the end time on recordings.

Good to know, out of curiosity, why?

The site I poll to get triggers for status of games is North American sports. The only value outside North American would likely be on extending F1 races

So this is probably not the solution for TV shows from Germany and England that get delayed because of extended news broadcastings?
