Here in Canada Schedules Direct http://www.schedulesdirect.org/ is a great EPG source well worth the money, but I don't hear about it much from users in other countries? If you live in any of the following why is that? I know NextPVR only supports three but that likely is because of lack of demand. I've even noticed one of the devs from SD rkulagow drops by on the forums so you might even get a little bit of help if needed.

The last release experimented with support for Schedules Direct outside of North America, which is why the UK is in the list. The other countries will likely be supported in the next release.

The UK is already usable, using a UK post code, but the biggest issue is there being no way to automap the Schedules Direct to the digital channels in those countries, and manually mapping a 100+ channels is a daunting painful task. I've been talking to rkulagow about this, but unfortunately there is no easy solution at this stage.

I don't remember ever encountering a NextPVR user from any of those South American or Caribbean countries, but I guess its possible we may get one in the future Big Grin

Been working well for me after the hiccups of a few months ago. I agree, it's well worth the money and anytime I've asked for help, I get answers a short time later.

There have been posts from Brazil, I even have an old HE-AAC sample since there's was different from your original one.

As for the Caribbean I'd be happy to accept donations to do a month of beta testing next winter.

Yes you have, I just don't live in the Caribbean any more Big Grin

I might have to go back there (Cayman Islands) in a week or two, not sure yet though.

I'd be very interested in using Scheduled Direct here in the UK as I'd love to get more accurate Season Episode data as well as accurate identification of movies, both of which are somewhat hit and miss with XMLTV data.

I only have 8-9 channels configured so the issue of no auto channel mapping is not a biggie for me and it's a one-time exercise.

If I sign up for SD now, will I get access to the UK EPG and will this work with the latest release of NextPVR?

Does anyone know if I can get a sample of UK EPG output to review to confirm if the season /episode & movie classification is demonstrably better than XMLTV?

cheers.

I'm the Schedules Direct guy. If you let me know your postal code, I can give you an example of the data that we have for your area.

I see in your .sig that you have a DVB-T2; if you can also produce something like a channels.conf channel scan then I can make sure that the data is correlated on our side to make things easier (I'd try to get NID/TID/SID mapping done before you download).

Post code sent via PM.

Yes I have a blackgold DVB-T2 tuner. I am not sure how to obtain a channels.conf channel scan. Could I use EPG Collector to do this?

If you can send me your database, I can produce a lookup table that rkulagow can use for this.
