I am trying to receive TV channels on Hauppage 2650, with card activated, through my Win 7 Home Professional. Nextpvr sees my two tunes, channels listed, but none can be seen on live TV, schedule absent. I've tried every combination of decoder configuration choices Even on Windows Media Center, even when I overcome "PlayReady not completed", the program terminates at the next step, so I can see a program but cannot use the tuner , as it says it is busy (not with NPVR active).
Basically cannot use my card, but want to use NPVR for TV, either through card or over the air.

We will probably need your entire logs folder to troubleshoot completely, but you are getting a socket exception error which can be caused by a couple of things:

Is the recording service running?
Do you have a proxy configured in your IE connection settings?

Thanks so much for answering. I use Chrome, and in my control panel, I don't have checked the box to use proxy. I did get the npvr running, and checked whether the recording service was running. I started it through services.msc. At that point, attempting to view live TV, I got at one point a narrow verticle band of color, as if there was part of a channel running. I tried to change channels, and the computer crashed (blue screen, much white verbiage) . Now each attempt at running, just clicking on watch live TV, and the computer crashes. attached is my complete log directory zipped.

Thanks so much for answering. Since contacting you, I contacted Hauppage, who suggested I install Playready outside of Windows Media Center (which still crashes whenever I attempt to use it). I rebooted, installed PlayReady again, again re-scanned the devices with NextPvr, have many channels listed, but all attempts to view TV live results in same message. I think I have tried all configurations for recording devices available to me, and always the same.
Attached are all of my logs.

Maybe try stopping the NPVR Recording Service, and try running "Nrecord.exe RUN" from the command line, to see if it gives you an error message when you attempt to watch live tv.
