I'm green as far as this code stuff goes but I see that you can export the recording schedule and save it for importing back.

Question: There is no selection for what drive to save a given program to using the manual programming dialog. It all goes into the default drive. My problem is even using a 4TB drive I will fill that up in about 40 days. My needs are for long term storage for research purposes and I need to try and keep the HD versions for a couple of months. Ideally, I'd like to be able to assign a given TV network to a given drive by running two external drives on a PC.

So, is there a way to add a line in this .xml code to force NextPVR to use another drive for some shows and if so how can I do it?

Thanks!

No. The issue has to do with there not being a way to select the drive when you set up a show manually. It all goes to the same drive.

Oooops! You can select the recording folder if you record from the TV Guide. I forgot to check that the same applied to manual recordings.

BTW, you're aware that NextPVR's license is strictly for personal home use, not commercial use right?

you can simply change the default recording path when the first one starts getting close to full.

you can also use ntfs junctions to make one or more directories on one drive point to a different drive.

(it is clear though you're using the software in a way other than an individual or family recording TV programs for personal entertainment which is what the program is designed and licensed for... as long as it is personal use you can use or abuse the software however you like, but clearly some features you might want for this unusual usage will be missing)

We should know by now that users who want to manually record alls shows with the EPG and also want to convert everything to avi usually aren't doing it for purely personal reasons.
