Since I don't know what constitutes a "junk" channel, can you give a few more details about what you mean? Is it difficult to get a scan that includes everything? (That way, the next person that adds the lineup doesn't have to fill in the gaps.)

But since this is just an information gathering project right now then a partial is still OK.

Junk channels are those that are simply not worth watching so we don't have them tuned in. I'm sure one of us will be willing to back up our configuration and then run a full scan for you with all channels when you need it.

Hi, when I looked at the DVB-T scan, you've got BBC 1 on number 101, with a service type of "1", which I thought meant that it was MPEG-2 standard def.

When I look at http://www.freeview.co.uk/availability/r...ertainment for your postal code (and it confirmed that you're on Belmont), it says that 101 should be BBC1 HD, which I thought would have a service type of 25? (H.264 HD)

Once I understand what's going on I should be able to create a lineup pretty quickly.

And here's a scan for ALL regions (everything my tuner could pick up) which found 130 channels instead of the 113 that were from the Crystal Palace transmitter.

Ah, sorry about that. Many in the UK don't bother too much about channel numbers (unlike the US as I understand it) and channel names are used in preference.
This may go back to analogue days when channel numbers depended on where you were in the country and which transmitter you used.

This changed a bit when Sky brought out their satellite service which standardised numbers over the whole county (BBC1 is broadcast on a number of different channels with regional variations in content, but appear as channel 101 as the Sky box/card knows your location).

So to answer your question, ignore my numbers, they were tweaked to match those of my Sky box. Therein lies another twist - depending on your subscription, channel 101 is BBC1 SD or HD. Both are available but their position in the Sky EPG is swapped!!
i.e. for me BBC1 SD is channel 101 and HD is 141. For an HD subscriber BBC1 HD is 101 and SD 141 (sigh)

yes, I have not changed them at all. I deleted all channels, full rescan (all regions) and export straight away.
