No Audio, OSD Control 3.4.8

My OS is decidedly Win7---that much is without doubt.

So what exactly do I need? Where do I get it---any firm recommendations?

As can be seen I'm completely ignorant about all the codec and their proper selection as well as computer or internet-based audio/video playback.

Just pick an AC3 decoder other than the Microsoft one you've currently got selected. The LAV Audio Decoder should be fine.

The LAV audio decoders works great, just don't be tempted to use the LAV ideo decoders, they are not so great..
