Kiwi Newbie - Help with batch file (update EPG) please

I have been trying to figure this out for a while and it's driving me mad, and my wife.
If this topic has already been answered, please point me to the post, or exact examples of batch files.

I use EPG Collector to scrape for epg data and this gets inserted into the WMC guide each day on a windows schedule, and this has been working for years.
I have been using Emby over the past year and this has been meeting my needs perfectly.
Until recently I was using ServerWMC to get Live TV in Emby, but due to very erratic recording of live TV, I now have switched to NextPVR Pluggin

So far NO recordings have failed, which is fantastic, but I am still having to manually run the guide update from the NextPVR ui.

Once this has been done, Emby updates the guide on a schedule I have set.

I have set up a Windows Schedule to run EPGCollector and create an XMLTV file - TVGuide.xml
This runs twice a day to keep the EPG updated.

So my question is - how do I get NextPVR to update the Guide automatically from the TVGuide.xml file?

I have spent some time on the NextPVR site reading the Wiki but still can't figure it out. I need to create a .bat file, but I'm a bit of a novice at this.

Sounds like you already have you xmltv file being generated automatically, so you wont need a batch file.

Each night NextPVR will run an EPG update, which will cause it to re-read the xmltv file you've got configured.

Where have your got your xmltv file? The recording service runs as a different user account. I'm wondering if you've got your xmltv file in a directory the recording service can't read, causing the overnight update (from the recording service running as 'localsystem') to fail, while the manual EPG update (in NextPVR.exe) runs fine.

If you want to post your nrecord.log, I can check what happened when it attempted to do the overnight update.

So obviously (now) the recording service can't find it.

I looked and I looked and I can't find the log attached anywhere.

My EPG update starts with running EPG Collector which is the first command in my UpdateEPG.bat file which the automatic EPG update runs.

Ever since a recent Windows reinstall the automatic EPG update has not worked correctly so had to do manual updates. The first clue is that EPG Collector now defaults to saving TVGuide.xml under the \Users directory when previously it used \ProgramData. However I was getting access denied errors even under \ProgramData even after changing permissions so moved the directory to the NPVR data directory where it was possible to give "Everyone" had full access to simplify matters!

Yep, you'll either need to move it, or change the recording service to use your account details.

Sorry, I'm new to this forum and didn't realise I had to zip the log. I hope this is the correct one.

Yes I have set the Auto Update for 4.25 pm in the Misc2 tab (this time is 10 mins after EPG Collector updates the TVGuide.xml

I have also altered EPG Collector to save the TVGuide.xml to - C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\TVGuide.xml

Unfortunately that log doesn't cover the time of an EPG update. Zip and attach the log again after the scheduled time.

It seams to be working as I updated Emby TVguide and next week's data was all there. previously I had Emptied the EPG in NextPVR.

Now for some reason my Windows schedule isn't running. I'll sort it when my head clears
