Where did you get your hands on that? 3.4.3 has a lot of bugs in it, but anyway, it should noe be a problem to upgrade to 3.4.8 once you have a working npvr.

Yeah, where did you get the older version? I'm interested to see if that will work for me, too.

EDIT: I found an older installer online and it installed properly and doing an update to the newest version gives me a fully working install. Thanks for the tip.

I think NRecord.exe should land in
C:\Program Files\NPVR\NRecord.exe
not
C:\Users\Public\NPVR

Check to see what location the executable is.

I still had 3.3.8 in my downloads folder so I've temporarily put a copy of 3.3.8 on Dropbox, just in case anyone needs pre-install it to get 3.4.8 to work.

UPDATE: Sub has found the bug and fixed it in the latest installer for 3.4.8, so I've removed my link to 3.3.8.

I have the same Problem :mad::mad::mad: on a new installed Windows 8.1 PC.

I think the NRecord.exe is missing an then the Service was not installed but the installer say, all is OK.

Looks like the same for me. Windows 8.1, ran as admin, saw the output of the installer say the service was created.

None of the troubleshooting tips have helped. Also this is a very new install of Windows, right now all that's on it is a few small tools, Steam, Kodi and RealVNC.

I'm running a Dell branded Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-955Q. I've attached my logs, although I'm not sure it'll shed any light.
