I do have a issue with åäö

I use codes SWXX0019 city = Luleå will show in in GBPVR as: weather for Lule&#229
and code SWXX0019 city = Frösön will show in in GBPVR as: weather for Frösön

also there is an issue with SI units - it works except in current for visibility and pressure - they are in inches and miles instead of mb and km.

(to bad that that the map with temperatures only exists in Fahrenheit - not the plugins fault)

I've create a fix that formats the characters correctly for things like Luleå. I am looking at the forecast for it right now (in SI units) and it all looks fine to me, including the pressure (in hPa) and visibility (in km). I dodnt change the SI formatting code however so I don't know why it now works. I've also updated the code to no longer sortt the area codes so people can enter them in the order they want. I will proably wait a bit more before posting the update to see if any other feature requests/bugs come in and to see if I can track down whatever the problem is that Tipster is having.

I just tried 33434 and it seemed to work fine. What exactly should ahppen? Also, I only see one map for this area code.

I checked the msnbc weather page directly at http://weather.msn.com/local.aspx?wealoc...c:USFL0040 and isolated thunderstorms for the whole week is what they show. I checked weather.com at http://www.weather.com/activities/other/...ocid=33432 and they also show isolated thunderstorms for the next 5 days. Their forecasts may be wrong, but that is not a bug in the plug-in.

Nice plugin and I like the recent enhancemnets

I am having a similar issue to the one jasjol was decribing except that my "Current" weather forcast SI units are fine but the "Details" detailed weather forecast display is in mph and fahrenheit.

If you are looking for some really cool weather icons, you should take a look at the ones included in the original BlueMCE skin for Media Portal - I can upload them to anyone is interested as they are very nice and it would be great to see them incorporated with this plugin. (I have replaced the original images for these myself already). I have to be honest I really like the look and feel of MP's skins and plugins which you can see some of with the link I included below but as for core functionality GBPVR seems to really kick it's @$$

The text of the details display is pulled from MSNBC. I don't do any analysis of the text to try to find embedded quantities and then convert units; sorry.

I just downloaded the newest version of the Weather Plugin. I hadn't updated in a while. All I can say is, Wow. Really nice plugin. Simple look lots of data, easy to use. I really like having the different maps available.

I also love the new release! Great job. The ability to control the update frequency is a nice touch along with the extra maps, extra details...etc.
I don't think much else could be done to improve it.

Now I just look forward to someone skinning it for BlueMCE2

I found a posting by Danka who has already packaged these icons up for other GBPVR users... turns out these icons are available for non-commercial use posted by JyriK at deviantart.com... if anyone is interested you can download "Weather Images shiny 2004 rev.4" from Danka's post <a href="http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=7640&highlight=shiny+weather+icons">here </a>(she has also included permissions.txt file).

BTW Tipstir I have just migrated from MP so the BlueMCE gives me the warm familar feeling but I do like the the XMediaPlatinum skin

In the actual GUI, the plugin seems to be fine until I hit the forecasts button, then I get an "object not set to instance of an object" error message, and weather plugin stops working. I've also noticed that there doesn't seem to be any data downloading for the weather details screen (I've tried several UK locations and same thing happens).

The last version worked without any problems on my set up (BTW I really loved the animated weather maps - any chance of getting these back in the new version?)

I was working yesterday just fine when checking Hamburg out and then today I after dropping the new BlueMCE skin files in - I checked and I am getting the same error for Hamburg as the one Guy pointed out. I am thinking that this has nothing to do with the skin and that for whatever reason this issue is just not consistant?
