Simultaneous Video-in/Tuner recording possible?

I highly suspect the answer to this one is "No it doesn't", but can anyone tell me if the PVR-150 /PVR-250 can record from the composite/S-Video input at the same time as it is recording from its in-built tuner?

Hi,

You are correct. The anser is no. The reason is that there is only one MPEG2 encoder.
You can say that the card has a tuner, which selects a channel and eventually feeds the resulting signal to the MPEG2 encoder. The SVideo / Composite inputs are like bypasses that feed a signal directly to the MPEG2 encoder.

Of course this is a very simplistic look at things, but the essence is right.
