rkulagow Wrote:OK, then I'm not sure there's much that I can do from the Schedules Direct side? Taking the following as an example:

Code:
"stationID": "17444",
"name": "Discovery Channel (UK)",
"callsign": "DISCOV",

then it's up to NextPVR to display the "name" field instead of the "callsign" field in the drop down?

But if there's a different issue then please let me know so that we can make the international data better.
Are you reading Sub?

I can check when I'm back in NZ in 3 weeks.

Most people in the US are more familiar with these short names, because they see them in lots of places. For the most part though, you don't need to interact with them, because bulk map will doing all the mappings for you were it can (SID/TSID/ONID lookup) or channel number matches.

Well it definitley does not work here since we don't have the callsign names and the bulk map function is dependent of the "real" channel names to work. I suspect that is the case for the rest of Europe too.

Actually, it's not dependent on the names. Names is one of the ways it'll do the match. It also SID/TSID/ONID matches (which we added specifically for Europe with SD), and the SD guys made sure this info was available for some of UK etc, to make sure the mappings happen automatically. In your case, they probably don't have the SID/TSID/ONID info for your Norway channels. Robert will probably add these mappings at some stage, but will most likely need a channel export from someone before he can add these mappings.

Right - if you can send me a channel export, then I can attempt to do the matching on the server side. Then, when you download the updated lineup (it will have a newer date, so the code should know that it has to download it), more of the channels should have matches.

Also, if you can send me a dump, please do it directly to my gmail: rkulagow@gmail.com

That will speed things up.

Which dump are we talking about? I can't find it described anywhere?

I believe if you go into Settings->Devices, select your tuner and then click "Export Channels", that will yield the desired info.

Thanks, I should select all available channels temporarily then?
