If you're using mc2xml, the answer can be found here: http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/view...f=5&t=8903

Signed up for Schedules Direct. It was painless (free trial at least). You cannot use chrome to sign up though....
So far it shows a little more detail than I had before. A full subscription is only $2 a month if paid in full so it's still a small price to pay for a home brew pvr.

I switched over to zap2xml also. If you use the -D option, you can get the extra details that include actor, year and category. The problem I have is that I also like to use guideplus, but I get a failure during the update on my large xml file.

-D option? mine doesn't have that as an option, only -d <days>
what downloader are you using? zap2xml or zap2xml2?

Go back to the website (http://zap2xml.awardspace.info/), it has an updated exe file that is named zap2xml (built off of the zap2xml2). That was uploaded on July 22, so it's quite recent.
I had this same issue that mc2xml stopped giving new data. I tried zap2xml last night (the newest version as of yesterday). Setup seemed painless enough but the guide data is just wrong. For example, it shows some show starting at 8pm saying it goes on for 3.5 hours when it really ends in 2 hours, and it doesn't even show that starts at 10pm or 11pm.
When I surf to zap2tv and look at the guide on-line. All the guide data looks correct on their web site. Why is it wrong after zap2xml processes it?

Don't know went wrong. But my TV guide via zap2xml healed, and now everything looks correct. Must have been a bad download or something. Its only a 7 day listing but it works!

I just noticed that I have a single day (August 12) that has a bad amount of data also. It was fine yesterday, so I think the download is choking on something and missing data.
If you use the -d 14 option, you can get 14 days worth of data. 7 days is the default. |
