Is it possible to have no guide and still setup a recording?

Is it possible to only refresh a single channel using .xml file? I have to run "Update EPG" which takes a long time to complete and I am only trying to fix 1 channel...

Thanks for your help.

This should say "schedule" a recording.

"Is it possible to have no guide and still schedule a recording?

Could you point me to the manual section where I can find the information?

I just tried updating the EPG and even thought I mapped the channel to .xml file and the file contains data, the EPG is blank... ugh!

I've got to be missing something obvious here... here are a couple of screenshots showing the channel and .xml file information.. thoughts?

Is it not as easy as first thought?

I'm still looking for a way to force a refresh on 1 EPG listing...

No that isn't possible, however assuming you aren't using OTA updates use more than one xmltv files, and just change the data for the 1 channel file.

I'm not trying anything different than your suggesting.

I have 1 XML file and I'm only trying to add information for 1 channel, but the information is not populating.

Do I have to run "Update EPG" or is there another way to only run the EPG update for 1 xml channel? The program runs through an entire scan of all the Frequencies which takes a considerable amount of needless time.

Can anyone tell me how the EPG is updated using an XML file, does it use the channel name for the mapping ?

Doe the information at the top section "General" have to match what's in the xml?

In this case there are 5 lines with "display-name" what is it using?

Quote: <channel id="I134.28460209.microsoft.com">
<display-name>134 POPSD</display-name>
<display-name>134</display-name>
<display-name>POPSD</display-name>
<display-name>POP</display-name>
<display-name>Satellite</display-name>
</channel>

Is it all driven from the dropdown box?

Since its not working aand there is data in the XML file along with the dropdown bpx selecting the correct channel then there must be a problem with the program or how the XML mapping box is being populated.
