No Audio with Live TV or Recording - Colossus and DirecTV

There is no audio when I use Live TV.
Playback of a recording, there is no audio with nextPVR.
- There is audio using WinTV 8 both live and recorded.
- Location: USA
- Using a Hauppauge Colossus connected via RCA to audio out and component connected to video out of a DirecTV set-top box.
- Windows 7 Home Premium - 64-bit
- NextPVR 3.4.8
- There are 6 or 7 choices for audio codecs in the drop-downs.

RCA audio output is analog, which I believe your Colossus encodes as AAC, not AC3. I think LAV is one free decoder that can be used for AAC, but there are probably others.

It's working, now. Enabled the LAV decoder for AAC. Disabled all other audio decoders. Then, clicked on the configuration button (button with horizontal dots next the the decoder choice) for the decoder. Had to tell LAV that it should also decode AAC. Did a re-boot, and audio works.
