That looks like the correct link......Most odd. I use the executable from http://wiki.xmltv.org/index.php/XMLTVProjectDownload as it seems to be updated at the same time as the main distribution.

I appreciate the help as it seems to be quite confusing for me. So, do you use the alpha exe from that link you posted? Are there any other files needed?

I've just fired it up on a virtual machine and ran it in c:\temp just the exe file is required from that alpha download

First off it needs to run like xmltv tv_grab_uk_atlas --configure
You then feed it the API key - this seems to have changed from when I got mine via email. Looks like you need a valid gmail, twitter or github account ??!!??
then it asks for your area and finaly the tedious y/n for each channel you want or not....

Then the slow download takes place (I usually give in and say 'all' for the channel choices!) it will eventually display on the screen unless you ask it to be redirected as per my earlier post.

have fun

Thanks, I get this message though

tv_grab_uk_atlas normally outputs an episode-num tag with brand.series.episode ids from the Atlas database.
Output brand/series/summary ids? (yes/no): [yes] yes
Enter the region code you want or leave blank to select from a list
Enter your viewing region: UK
Fetching platforms: 100% [====================================================]:3: parser error : Premature end of data in tag xmltvconfiguration line 3

Not sure about that, I've never had a problem. What happens if you put this into a browser??? paste your api key after the = at the end

It looks like the API request has changed since I got mine. You have to enter a request for the source data - the UK stuff we want is sourced by teh press association by the looks of it (the "publisher"??)

Correct. I've added all the publishers and it works great now thanks!

Excellent. You'll have to let us know what you think of the data compared to the RadioTimes if you get the chance.
