Just for clarity, this is a fix for recordings, not for playback? So old recordings are still broke and need to be remuxed?

Its a fix in the recording process.

If you've got old recordings with this problem and you can't play them, then you'd probably need to delete a few packets of the start of the file, or remux them.

My experience always was that the recordings could be played by pressing Skip a few times really quickly after pressing Play.

I actually did write a tool that fixes them very quickly but re-writing the first packet in place with a correct PAT it seems to fix the problem enough for NextPVR and Kodi.
