Unable To Communicate With Recording Service

Hello
I have Next PVR 3.4.8. It was working fine and then for no apparent reason that I can find it was no longer recording. I checked the services and it was stopped. So I started it - and it did. Then I go back to NextPVR and when I press LiveTV I get the error "Unable To Communicate With Recording Service". Then I check the service again and it is stopped. I do not get any error messages other than that. I launch Windows Media Center and everything works fine and I can watch TV.

Also I tried to upgrade to the latest version and I get the following error "Can't write: C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\NShared.dll"

I'd start by running the 'Stop NPVR Service' shortcut, then upgrade to 3.5.7. If the recording service is still having problems, then zip and attach your c:\users\public\npvr\logs directory and I'll take a look.

Thanks .. I did that and was able to install the latest version.

I still get the "Unable To Communicate With Recording Service" . (I made sure I went and started the service from the short cut before I started NextPVR. I went to Live TV and the error shows up..))

You must have missed the second part of sub's post...

If the recording service is still having problems, then zip and attach your c:\users\public\npvr\logs directory and I'll take a look.

You need to zip and attach all the files, rather than just posting the text. You should also have an nrecord.log?
