After watching live TV or watching a recording and stop or ctrl-s is done, 90% of the time the program drops back to the guide or the main menu. The other 10% it goes to a black screen and is "locked up." A shutdown of the desktop and a restart will fix the problem. The last time it did this I did not restart and did a zip of the logs.
Any ideas?

That last session of NextPVR (npvr.log) looks like you were watching live tv, then pressed 'Escape' key, then it stopped and returned to the menu. 30 seconds later you closed the application, then I assume zipped the logs. It doesn't look like that session locked up, and I cant see Ctrl-S being pressed.

I will have to check my remote settings to see what command is stored in my "stop" key. That will take a little while. "As for pressed 'Escape' key, then it stopped and returned to the menu" It did not show the menu. Only a black screen and no key press would do anything. I then shut down the desktop to get out of the "lock up." If it did not "lock" then why were all keys "dead." No action, black screen.?

I'm not sure - it certainly doesn't look dead in the logs. It responded to the exit request and did a clean shutdown. It's not something like the focus going somewhere strange? ie, does clicking on the window make any difference?

Can you right click to get the context menu etc?

Maybe it is my setup here. I have a "Flirc" that I programed with the various commands that NPVR needs to operate. This was set up with an old unused direct TV remote. I then used the same keys on that remote to "teach" my universal remote. The universal remove does all the work and has done a great job.
I was able to get a "lock up" to happen again. This time I pressed various keys for about 10-12 seconds. All of a sudden the sound and live TV came back. ?
The keyboard is connected to the computer but it is "out of the way." The mouse is close and will bring up the context menu.
The next time this happens I will try the mouse and see what it does. It does not happen often. It may not appear again for a couple of days......

The reason I asked about that was because the main window queue was able to respond to the exit, and it should also have logged any keypresses from the remote, but there was none of these.
