Did you try Ogdensburg's zipcode?

Yes I can go into find lineups and pick Antennae , enter Canada and enter postal code and NextPvr brings back some stations to map. Just not bringing back all the stations. I entered a couple other postal codes near me and they bring back stations but missing the same stations as my postal code.

I am just south of Ottawa along the St. Lawrence river across from Ogdensburg New York. The stations i am missing are from Northern New York.

Martin

I tried other postal codes but had not tried the Ogdensburg zipcode with United States selected as country.
Once I did that it worked and the missing stations came in.

So I have found a work around for the problem but sounds like there are some issues still with Antennae mode and schedule direct.

Thank you everyone for your help on this one. Hopefully the problem gets fixed with schedule direct. I certainly like that epg software.

Hello. I'm a newbie with NextPVR. (I had GBPVR a long time ago, and liked it.) I am having a recording scheduling problem. If I attempt to schedule a recording with either the "whole season" or the "record all' option, it always results in a "record once" entry. In addition, I can't change it to do repeat recordings unless I delete the scheduled recording and enter it again with one of the multiple recording options. (And again, I get record once.)

I've tried the -removehistory and reinstalling NextPVR, but no change. Does anyone have an idea what would cause this problem? I would assume all of the defaults scripts were correct, but have no idea why this is happening.

So when you're in NextPVR's TV Guide, and you press enter on a show, select 'Record', you'll get the recording popup. Pressing the right arrow will move from 'Record Once' to recurring options like 'Record Season (...)". If you schedule one of these recurring recordings, then go to the Recordings screen, and right arrow to the 'Recurring Recordings' list, do you see it listed? If you right arrow again to the 'Pending Recordings' list, do you see all the episodes pending?

PDWhite:
Welcome to NextPVR! Just a quick etiquette note: When posting here about a problem, you don't want to "hijack" a thread about a different problem. So be sure to use the "+ Post New Thread" button not the "+ Reply to Thread" button.

With NextPVR, when you schedule a "whole season" or "record all" option, it is called a "Recurring Recording". When you're in the Recordings screen, you can click the left or right arrows to cycle through the lists of recordings to get to the list of "Recurring Recordings". Now, the way that the actual scheduling for specific instances of that program occur can be a bit confusing. When you initially create a recurring recording, NextPVR will create special "Record Once" pending recording entries for each specific match found in the current EPG data. Then, each night during (or anytime there is a manual) EPG update, NextPVR will first delete all of these special "Record Once for a Recurring Recording" pending recording entries. Next it will go through the list of all of the recurring recording entries one at a time and again create these special "Record Once for a Recurring Recording" pending recording entries for each match found in the new/updated EPG. The system uses this method properly handle TV schedule changes, and it generally works very well. Now, one gotcha to be aware of is this: if you manually delete one of the special "Record Once for a Recurring Recording" pending recording entries, NextPVR believes that for whatever reason you explicitly do not want that specific episode recorded, so it will store that in a special table. Subsequently, when it then reschedules the recurring recordings after future EPG updates, that specific episode will no longer be marked for recording. And even deleting the recurring recording and recreating it will not cause that manually deleted episode to be marked for recording.

Aha! I think I got it. - My mistake was a presumption that the functionality for setting up records in the schedule was like the recording setup in the Windows Entertainment Program, which allowed to set up and modify recurring program recording directly from the schedule. I think the confusion arose when an evening's worth of scheduled recordings failed to yield the desired recordings. - Guess I'll know where to look next time.

And, in regard to my threading faux pas, I shall try to be more careful in future.

Thank you for your help! - Phil White
