This issue started just a couple of day's ago. I switched from OpenElec to OSMC to resolve a recording issue that I was having. OSMC was already Kodi 15.x, where as Openelec is not.

At first all seemed to work as I was hoping, but after a day or so, a single channel stopped streaming. In the upper right corner of my screen I would get a buffering 0% icon, but nothing ever started playing. I initially started a thread on the osmc forum thinking that it was an issue with osmc. After a day or two, more channels started buffering at 0%. Thinking that it might be a Kodi 15.1 issue, I decided to switch back to OE, kodi 14.2. The issue followed to Openelec, Kodi 14.2. I am now having the exact same issue with OpenElec 5.0.0, Kodi 14.2.

The common element between the two different media clients is the NextPVR server. I am using the latest NextPVR verson, v3.5.7.

I cleaned out the logs on both the server and client, put the pi in debug mode and selected my channel. I uploaded koki.log and NRecord.log to the forum.

The channel that I was trying to view is WOWTDT, 1008 at about 17:28.

The good thing about this; I won't miss Royal's putting away the Mets tonight. That channel is uneffected. Big Grin

For some reason your log didn't get attached but in any case if your OpenElec doesn't have recordings reloading patch it won't have the RPi patch either both my patches where in the same commit. I'm pretty sure if you used 5.0.8 that BreetB suggested you'd have the correct pvr-nextpvr

Martin,

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to tell me. However, I did notice that I had a typo on what version of OpenElec I'm actually on. I am currently using OpenElec 5.0.8, Kodi 14.2. As of this morning, I had at least three channels not streaming. It seems that its only the local channels that are effected.

I got to thinking about what changes I might have made on my system that could cause this. The only thing that I can think of is I replaced my printer last week, and this is about the time this started. My HP died on me, and I decided to go with an Epson this time. Could there be a conflict with the Epson drivers or software?

When I get the chance, I'll remove the software and see if that resolves this issue. I'll also gather new logs and see if I can't get them to upload this time.

BTW Martin, did you catch that final game? Big Grin

Less, but my "final" game was when KC beat the Jays. A deserved win.

Once I see Kodi debug.log there should be more information, perhaps I missed something on that patch. I suggest the Kodi log upload addon and just provide the url. I don't actually use my RPi or like the pvr-nextpvr addon so I rely on info from others.

I installed the kodi log uploader addon as you suggested. This was the URL that I was given: http://xbmclogs.com/pmbfcttca

The channel that I was having problems with tonight is KETV (1009) at about 18:01.

For some reason, all of the information from 18:01 to 18:07 is missing from this log. I'm going to try this again and see if I can't get a good clean log uploaded.

Okay. I ran another debug log and uploaded to kodi.logs again.

http://xbmclogs.com/psedbg6es

Again, the channel not streaming is KETV (1009) at 19:01. I let the debug run for a whole minute, so you should have plenty to review.

Thanks

It is not streaming 19:01:33 T:1633268800 ERROR: Get - failed to get stream

Did you try to reset the PVR database and maybe use an IP instead of hostname for you NextPVR server? It seems to be using the cache instead of connecting to the backend.

Also rather then enabling debug log from the GUI I find this advancedsettings.xml can come in handy

<loglevel>1</loglevel>

and it provides more information earlier too.

I had reset the PVR database previously, but I had not tried the IP address until just now. However, that did not resolve this issue.

I ran two additional debug once prior to restting the PVR database, and then again after resetting the database.

kodi.log was uploaded: http://xbmclogs.com/pvmztdq3p

Again, the station that I'm having issues with is KETV (1009) at 20:08 and 20:12.

As far as enabling logging via advancedsettings.xml. It appears to me that advancedsettings.xml is in /, which is mounted as loop back device, and I'm not able to edit the file and add <loglevel>1</loglevel>.

No change. I am assuming that KETV works in NextPVR so zipping you NextPVR logs would be next.

From you logs I think the writeable advancedsettings.xml goes in /storage/.kodi/userdata
