Daylight Savings to Standard Time - USA

I'm running Windows 7 with Version 3.3.8 NextPVR. All of my recordings are scheduled manually. Every Saturday I have a scheduled refresh for Recurring programs. So imagine my surprise tonight when I find that recordings that were scheduled for 9 PM actually occurred at 8 PM. I don't understand why the recordings that are scheduled for a certain time isn't honored after a switch from Daylight Savings time to Standard Time.

Please let me know how I can avoid this next Spring when certain parts of the United States 'spring' forward an hour.

internally recordings are set in UTC time, which is unaffected by daylight savings time; that is to say, all your recordings are still happening at the exact time they were scheduled for, it's just that you, your computer and your tv stations think it's a different time. I can't think of anything you can do about this if you must keep using manually-scheduled recordings.

I adjust for daylight savings time manually.

Here is what I did for Fall turn back clock one hour:
Turn off windows "Adjust for daylight savings time automatically" on Saturday night.
Empty EPG, then Update EPG.
Schedule recordings for Sunday morning.
On Sunday, I turn back on "Adjust for daylight savings time automatically" and no changes will occur since it is already on standard time.

For Spring, I turn off windows "Adjust for daylight savings time automatically" on Saturday night.
Schedule recordings for Sunday morning which will stay in stardard time.
On Sunday when recordings are done, I turn back on "Adjust for daylight savings time automatically" and Empty EPG, then Update EPG.
Then I can schedule recordings in daylight savings time.
