Plex Channel

Hi,

First let me say - very impressed! The Plex channnel for NextPVR seems very cool, and I'm impressed that if I watch an item on Plex (through NextPVR channel), the playback position is stored in NextPVR, and I can continue from there on NextPVR. Awesome!

Just two minor things,
- if I try to playback from there on Plex, it always seems to start from the beginning, no option to resume from where I left off. Is it possible to do this?
- it would be nice to show a bit more detail of the program, to select between episodes inside Plex

Hi. Regarding the first one, no sorry. Channels are not ankle yo do this. They're not designed for accessing files.

Can you explain. The second to me? Do you mean when looking at recordings (rather than what's news) - the channel gets the episode information from nextpvr which I dont believe offers show information.

What you may find worth doing is to add the nextpvr recordings directory to plex and try using that - it may solve done if your problems, especially if you can name episodes SxxExx format.

Understood on the channels - no issue at all (and definitely no reason to apologize). It would be nice, but I understand that you're limited by Plex.

On the display, yes - I mean in recordings. And good idea, let me try to just directly add the path to Plex. Was hoping to sync playback (position), but I understand the limitations.

I have NPVR set up and can access all live tv channels with the frontend. I can also access all live tv channels through Kodi via backend. I can also access live tv channels via web/NEWA (but only in IE - not Chrome or Edge). I cannot, however get live tv to work through the Plex channel. I just get "the channel is not responding". There was an error in the log, which I somehow found, but I have no idea what to do, is in fact I am looking at the correct log, but now there is no error. I am very interested in getting this channel to work.

Please let me know which log to post here.

Need the nextpvr log in the plex logs directory.

One thing I have found is that if your channels have major minor number, ie 10.1 then the plex channel wont pick them up.

There are 5 log files (numbered 1-5) and 1 text document located there. Not sure which to post. Let me know which one.

All my live TV channels are coming from HDHR prime. No major minor.

Hmmm, when it tries making a request it's trying to call: http://Plex server:8866

Using the web ciient, go to the channel, and hit the cog for preferences. In there specify the name, or ip of your next pvr (and port unless youve changed it from 8866). If both plex and nextpvr exist on the same server http://127.0.0.1:8866 should work.

I am having the same issue I think. I get "the channel is not responding." when trying to access any parts of the channel. I tried both http://127.0.0.1:8866 and the public ip for my server.
