Current status of NextPVR and Netflix?

I did find it in Wiki but it does not seem to unzip. I am on windows10. I am unfamiliar with the .7z file extension.

Windows 8.0, 8.1 and 10 built in zip program will not recognize .7z as a zip file. Go to
http://www.7-zip.org/

and download their program.

scJohn so I download and run it. I cannot seem to seem to see where or how to install Universe in NextPVR

OK after a little more thinking I got it.

I am not that keen on the learning curve for Kodi right now, so is the 3rd item a must for Netflix to Work? Martin's note suggests that provided you have the Universe Plugin (just installed, cannot see what it does yet), you can run Netflix (even without PlayOn) - I need out find out how to make the connection between them...

You do need PlayOn trial version is fine Universe is just a basic UPnP a/v player. my only use for Universe is live tv from my HDHR so not sure if PlayOn is working anymore.

So if I'm reading this correctly once Playon is installed the Universe Plugin recognises it as a source (currently without Playon I see one UPNP source) and Universe will play anything under Playon, including Netflix?

Wow - that looks good. I'll install Playon and take it for a spin. How does it know you're registered with Netflix? Do you just need to register and save the login and password?

Just reporting back with progress/queries so far:

1. OK, PlayOn trial is installed. I understand PlayOn (Software), Universe (Plugin) and a Netflix A/C is all I need to watch Netflix on NextPVR.
   
2. I have a registered Netflix A/C, but I cannot seem to run the test successfully in PlayOn. See attached pic for error "Unable to Test Netflix Login". [I did try opening a port on my router for Playon at 57331, plus playing with Firewall etc - no joy]
   
3. Regardless of that annoying error in (2) it appears that I can watch Netflix directly from PlayOn. See attached pic for an example from Blacklist Season 2 from Netflix.
   
4. However when I go into NexPVR and find the PlayOn UPNP server, it attempts to play the same show, but then I see a message about needing to upgrade for PlayOn. The FAQ says "recording, casting or streaming" needs PlayOn paid. Is what I am trying to do one of these 3? If so, then I guess I'd need to subscribe to PlayOn as well?
