Hi sub,
Well, I finally got some data but I'm not sure how to interpret it. I've attached two files: Ntray.log-1 and Ntray.log-2
Ntray.log-1: In this one I started NPVR and then using only the remote, went to Live TV, pressed the green button 3 times, back to Main Menu, 3 more green button presses and then exit. I thought the green button would stand out and be easy to find but I don't see the pattern there. I then assumed that Ntray would be monitoring for IR button presses even when NPVR is not running (as you said to look for the green button and then start NPVR). So I stopped and then started the service figuring that would clear out the log and start again and that produced. . .
Ntray.log-2: It looks like there are two data lines per button press. The first three button presses (lines 1-6) I'm not sure what I did. But lines 7-8 represent the green button from the original remote that came with the Dell PC. Lines 9-10 represent the green button from the Harmony remote (which learned its codes from the Dell remote). Lines 11-12 are the green button from the Dell remote and lines 13-14 are from the Harmony.
Please let me know if you need any more data and I will get it for you.
I assume I can keep using the updated Ntray.exe and all it will do is keep on logging the button presses and when I turn the PC off for the day and then power on the next time I need it, it will start over. Is that correct?
THANKS AGAIN!
Gerry
