Wy wish is to return to the same place in the Recordings list, when coming back from Recordings, as you entered that show from.

When the kids want to watch a movie, I often go into Recordings and then scoll down the list and then into a Movie which looks promising. I use the MetaData in Recordings Screen to see what the Metadata tells me about the movie. If suitable, it gets watched; if not, I would like to be able to back up the menus to the Recordings list and just CONTINUE going down from the same place.

Currently when I go back from that Metadata Screen for the show, it always goes back to the TOP of the Recordings list.
So I have to scroll all the way down again to continue "Browsing" the list of shows. Surely this is non-intuitive?

I'd love to see i change to sticky at the point on the list where you went into the show.

Cheers

k.

I have an HP MCE remote that works the way that you want. Pressing the "back" key on the remote walks back through the menu properly. Pressing the left-arrow jumps the menu back to the top of the list, as you describe. Perhaps you can emulate the back key in USB-UIRT?

Hmm I see you have PCHs, which is what I use with the USBUIRT and the PCH remote. So if you go back with that does it work too. In hindsight I may have been doing the movie check on the PC with the esc key to go back - will test it again.

None of my PCH's are in use with NPVR currently. Sad Moved to a different house and haven't yet strung Ethernet through the attic and walls.

We view directly from the server which is tucked into a corner in the living room.

I just tried it on a Win 8.1 PC client here and the Esc key takes me back through the menu properly.

From the "new" Recording metadata screen as jksmurf wrote in #1 Esc and Back from the menu does take me to the to top of the previous list not to the current selection. Th normal recordings screen works okay.

As Martin stated is my recollection as well. I ditched the eye candy and went back to "classic".

If someone can bump this thread in a few days, I'll fix it for the next release.
